If it's an inexpensive camera, then it would probably cost nearly as much to fix it as it would to buy a new and better one. If it's a great camera, then you could always get it checked out by a store that apecializes in cameras and see what they say.

If it's 3 years old, chances are you can get a much better one now for a good price.
