The Maxum is a long line of cameras from Minolta. Originally just film cameras, the Maxum now includes digital camera models. While some of the 35mm cameras are very affordable, the digital line is, at this point, high end and expensive. However, the digital cameras are very good cameras. They aren't just point and shoot, but can use different lenses. And the film cameras and digital cameras can both use the same lenses.
